This year’s Summer Show (which cannot be named for legal reasons!) has packed audiences into the school hall but has no doubt been heard all over Blairgowrie! This technically demanding, but thoroughly entertaining, show featured many of Queen’s greatest hits including ‘Radio Ga Ga’, ‘I Want to Break Free’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
Audience participation was welcomed and all the hard work and commitment shown by staff and pupils has certainly paid off. Comments from audience members include "a fantastic showcase of the talent which Blairgowrie High School continues to produce" and "the show ‘was’ so entertaining!" Highlights included ‘Hammer to Fall’ with Ross Gibbons and Matilda Jarvis, ‘Seven Seas of Rye’ - Callum McHoul, ‘Killer Queen’ - Bryony Wardle and ‘I Want It All’ with Kris McDonald and Bridgha Cameron. The chorus looked every part the Ga Ga kids with their matching white wigs and Ga Ga t-shirts supplied by the school’s parent council.
The Music department would like to thank everyone involved in the show and all who attended the performances throughout the week.
